Pictons is sponsoring a fundraising quiz night for the Tring Tornadoes, a local junior football sports club, on Saturday 3rd March at the Victoria Hall in Akeman Street in Tring.

Tring Tornadoes Junior Sports Club was founded in 1971. When the club was first formed it consisted of just one football team of fourteen boys. Over the last thirty years the club has grown considerably and now forms the largest children’s organisation in Tring, with a membership of over three hundred and fifty children playing football. These children range in ages from six to sixteen and are of both sexes. The club draws its members from an area that extends from Aston Clinton to Hemel Hempstead and from Cheddington to Wigginton, although the bulk of the membership, around 75%, is drawn from within Tring itself.

The club is a registered charity and run on a voluntary basis by parents of the children. From under 6s to under 16s, the Tring Tornadoes have teams playing in the West Herts Youth League and the South Bucks League. Last season the under 12s were runners up in both the Aylesbury and Wendover 6 aside tournament.

Sukh Saini, Joint Managing Partner of Pictons says, “As a company we are very community-minded where all of our four offices are based. We think it’s important to make a contribution to local charities and last year we participated in Make Your Will Month for the Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.

When the opportunity came up to sponsor a fundraising event for the local youth football charity in Tring we jumped at the chance. It’s going to be a fun evening and I hope that a substantial sum will be raised to support the Tring Tornadoes"
