Commercial Litigation

PROPERTY LITIGATION

Property litigation is a broad and complex area of law, encompassing not only landlord and tenant law (residential and commercial) but also land law, equitable principles and trust law to name but a few.

Our Property Litigation Team is deeply rooted in the Litigation Department and works closely not only with the Commercial and Residential Property Departments, but also with the Corporate and Commercial and Wills, Trusts and Probate Departments.

Whilst we generally regard litigation as the last resort, avoiding it is not always possible or appropriate.

We have extensive experience of property disputes proceedings to final hearings in the County Court, High Court, Leasehold Valuation Tribunal, Lands Tribunal, HM Adjudicator and at arbitration.

We currently provide cost-effective advice and assistance to a wide range of institutions, companies and individuals being both residential and commercial landlords.

We deal with all aspects of property litigation and dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and Court action.

We have access to a bank of real estate experts, including chartered surveyors, land and building surveyors and valuers, who are well versed in the requirements and procedure of the Court.

We also have close relationships with a number of specialist London Counsel on whom we can call when the case demands.
